  1. These are so true, especially in this age and time that we have lots of people who claim to be web designers everywhere. It’s important to look before you leap. Thanks for sharing.

  2. This is great. Thank you for putting out this questions, it can be a bit confusing trying to figure out what you need to ask and then realize that you didn’t ask all the necessary questions

  3. This is an eye opener but going by these questions it is obvious that only established web design company that can benefit from prospective clients, so what happens to the start ups that are quite competent and capable but are yet to build the clientele base and ofcourse gather enough experience required to gain the confidence of prospective clients as stated in this article???

    1. Dear Kyrian,

Thanks for your comment. I definitely understand what you mean about startups. CKDIGITAL started as a freelance (startup) business as well.

Prospective clients will ask these questions, whether you are a startup web designer or an established agency. The goal is that you should be prepared.

My recommendation is that you define your strengths, and be able to ‘sell’ these to your prospective clients.

In addition, your portfolio is your strongest asset. It will be difficult to convince prospective clients that you can ‘deliver’ without proof. Build a reasonably sized portfolio – however you can.

I do hope my comment has been helpful. I wish you the best.
